The Board of Doctorate (Promotion Committee) awards candidates, doctorates and honorary doctorates. The Rector is the chairperson of the Promotion Committee. In this document, the term ’doctorate’ refers in most cases to the entire process, or part thereof, during which the candidate approaches a possible supervisor for the writing of a doctorate thesis to the conferral of the doctorate degree title (Dr). The person who qualifies for admission to the doctorate or who has been admitted to the doctorate as a special case by the Board of Deans is the candidate. The professor, who is appointed by the Board of Deans, is the Supervisor. The Committee of promotions provides the regulations of promotion. The board members are composed of the head of the Committee (the rector), the director of the Islamic Institute, the head of the Examination Committee, the head of the Section Arabic Language, the director of the Research Institute, and the board secretary.
